Heating systems market will change with the new regulations 811/2013, 812/2013, 813/2013 and 814/2013 about eco-design and energy labeling related to all the equipments intended for heating and production of hot sanitary water.

CENTROTEC subsidiary acquires Croatian climate control and ventilation equipment manufacturer PRO-KLIMA
Wolf, the heating and climate control technology specialist that is a member company of CENTROTEC Sustainable AG, is taking over the Croatian climate control and ventilation equipment manufacturer PRO-KLIMA d.o.o..
This company, based in Samobor near Zagreb, is market leader in Croatia and also exports 55 percent of its production to neighbouring countries in Southeast Europe, in particular to Russia, Germany and Austria. PRO-KLIMA generated revenue of around EUR 13 million last year. The acquisition gives CENTROTEC access to a market in which it has hitherto had only a minor presence. In addition PRO-KLIMA’s highly versatile, Eurovent-certified range of climate control equipment ideally complements the group’s existing product portfolio. The purchase is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of this year. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

New Chillers: the GEA Grasso BluGeniumm series
GEA Refrigeration Technologies has introduced new water-cooled ammonia chillers. These chillers are based on the proven piston compressors from the GEA Grasso V series and are characterized by a narrow width of only 1.2 m as well as by a small footprint. GEA Grasso BluGenium chillers enable brine inlet temperatures of approx. -15 °C to +15 °C. This makes them effective for industrial applications, process cooling, building climate control, and many additional areas of use. The chillers are available in five model sizes, with maximum cooling duty ranging from 280 kW for the smallest model, to the largest unit with a maximum duty of 1210 kW (all ratings measured at +12/+6 °C). These chillers are impressive not only at full load, but also with their great efficiency in the often-required part-load range. This results in an unequalled European Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio of 9.5. One of the features contributing to this performance is the standard frequency inverter, which enables speed control from 500 to 1500 rpm and, in turn, infinitely variable output matching over an extensive load range. An additional efficiency characteristic is the so-called electronic condenser drain system. It monitors pressure relationships at the condenser and evaporator and assures optimal capacity utilization of the evaporator. The water-cooled GEA Grasso BluGenium chillers are available immediately. For 2015 it is planned to expand the range by adding models with external condensers.
The modest power consumption of GEA Grasso BluGenium chillers results from special design characteristics: for example, the low pressure drop, as well as the effective temperature isolation between the suction and discharge sides of the compressor, the latter of which especially has the positive effect of limiting the final temperature. The large suction chamber – which enables unimpeded inflow of gas into the compression chambers – ensures very slight pressure drops at the compressor that enhance system efficiency. Ease of maintenance results from details such as O-ring seals instead of conventional gaskets at the cylinder head. The latter can be opened by unscrewing only four nuts.
GEA Grasso BluGenium chillers are likewise designed for long service lives and low life-cycle costs. These benefits are the results of a number of structural characteristics: e.g., the welded compressor crankcase of the compressors and the fully welded heat exchangers for the condensers and evaporators. Good insulation of the cold side of the chillers likewise minimizes corrosion risks.
The scope of delivery of GEA Grasso BluGenium models includes a control enclosure with intelligent control. Operator actions take place via a touch panel or by remote access. The control system logs the operating status data and maintenance information, which enables the user to fetch archived data. The GEA Grasso Maintenance Monitor, in addition, analyzes these data and determines the optimal point in time for maintenance. The functionality of the GEA Grasso Maintenance Monitor for the GEA Grasso BluGenium is integrated into the control system. This ex-works solution therefore satisfies all prerequisites for status-oriented maintenance. These chillers, mounted on a rugged frame structure, run at very low vibration levels in their factory versions. They can, however, also be delivered if requested with an enclosure that reduces operational noise emissions by approx. 5 dB(A). Removable side panels and doors, even with the enclosed models, assure ease of access to all essential components.
The new water-cooled chillers from the GEA Grasso BluGenium series are available now. The maximum refrigeration-duty range is 280 to 1210 kW, depending on the model.

Wolf CGL comfort large area ventilation units are designed as internal appliances for controlled ventilation in individual rooms. Alongside their primary use in classrooms and kindergartens, the units are also ideal for applications in conference rooms, club houses and restaurants, offices and canteens.
Wolf CGL comfort large area ventilation units provide rooms with filtered outdoor air, the volume of which can be adjusted to ensure sufficient supply. At the same time, a corresponding volume of used ambient air containing CO2 is removed and expelled. The basis of this omni-component, open-system control solution is the clearly organized wiring in the control panel, as well as its input/output possibilities. Fan group
Double-inlet centrifugal fans with statically
and dynamically balanced horizontally-oriented aluminium impellers. Single-phase asynchronous electric motor with overload cutout. 6 speeds of rotation (3 connected). The motor is directly coupled to the fans and cushioned with flexible mountings to ensure low noise.
Air filter
Filtering honeycomb polypropylene fabric enclosed within a metal frame to facilitate withdrawal and cleaning.
Filtering rate of the standard model: EU1.

Coil
Coils are made of copper pipe expanded into aluminium fins in continuos block. Brass headers with female fittings (GAS threads) and easily accessible air vents. In the standard version, the water connections are located on the left (when viewing the outlet).

A natural solution to environment probelms… CO2 as refrigerant
Being not toxic and flammable, the CO2 (R744) has been widely used since 1940 as refrigerant fluid in the chiller systems. Actually due to the progressive limitations to the use of synthetic refrigerant in order to avoid the reduction of the ozone (Montreal 1987) and to restrain the immission in the atmosphere of greenhouse gasses, together with the development of components more reliable and suitable to high pressure, the CO 2 has been represented as one of the most interesting natural refrigerant, that is candidate to be widely used in the future.

The air stream reaches the floor in a straight, vertical line, so that a minimum of energy is consumed. The homogeneous discharge pattern provides for optimum heating of cold outdoor air, thus eliminating draught in the building.
Various mounting positions
The air curtain can be mounted in different ways, so that the curved discharge grille will always be as close as possible to the door, which screens off the doorway completely. The modular design makes that multiple air curtains can be easily linked next to or above one another, so they can cover each and every door height or width.
Control options
- Basic: a 5-speed switch controls the air flow rate. A door contact switch or room thermostat can be connected.
- Plus: a 5-speed switch controls the air flow rate. A room thermostat controls the speed when the door is closed. The door switch controles the speed when the door is open. With a closed door, the room thermostat will not switch the air curtain off until the desired room temperature has been reached. This control is also suitable for connecting a Building Management System (BMS).
- Auto: the unit is controlled by a pre-programmed control unit. The air- and waterside controls ensure that the air flow rate and the discharge air temperature are automatically adjusted to different conditions using several sensors near the doorway.

The comfort air curtain, model CA2, creates an optimal climate separation. The CA2 is fitted standard with a fully automatic CHIPS-control, a high efficiency coil for water ranges from 45/35ºC and an advanced control panel: the b-touch. Optimum climate separation with every water range
By combining the rectifier-, CA- and CHIPS-technology in the CA2 the indoor climate is optimally separated from the outside climate under all circumstances. No energy is lost: in fact, the heated air helps to improve the indoor climate. The unit is equipped with a low water temperature coil, which means the CA2 is functioning optimally with every water range from 45/35ºC, while the built-in 3-way valve guarantees the right discharge temperature.
Fully automatic
The integrated CHIPS technology selects continually the correct settings of the air curtain under all circumstances. Due to this technology the proven separation efficiency of maximal 94% is used optimally. Furthermore up to 75% energy can be saved compared to an air curtain with a conventional speed control.
Control Panel: b-touch
The CA2 is equipped with the new b-touch control panel. Navigating the various menus is very easy on the convenient touch screen. The installer only needs to enter a few settings into the phased programme on the b-touchfor the correct adjustment, which takes no time at all. After that, the CA2will function automatically. Depending on the situation, the user can change the settings manually, for example in order to raise or lower the preferred room temperature.
The attractive design makes the unit suitable for any interior. The unit is also easy to build in. By linking multiple air curtains next to one another, the CA model can cover any door width, without interrupting the air stream.

Air Curtains with easy maintenance
The comfort air curtain, model DoorFlow, proves that an open store, comfortable inner climate and low heating costs can coexist very well. The air curtain DoorFlow also reduces energy use and draught problems will be avoided. By applying our patented rectifier, this air curtain has a very high separation capacity, this results in an optimal inner climate and it feels comfortable within the entrance area. Besides this, the air curtain DoorFlow is easy to maintain. Cleaning and replacing filters belong to the past.
Room temperature control
The DoorFlow model comes standard with an air side speed controller and can be expanded with a water sided room temperature control (3-way) It is easy to control the room temperature manually or automatically with a room temperature controller. If the air curtain is controlled automatically, the air curtain itself reads the room temperature and automatically selects the correct heating level to ensure and maintain the preset room temperature level.
Low water temperatures
The DoorFlow can be connected to any CH-installation, because for every situation a suitable coil is available:
- Low water temperature coil (4-row): suitable for water ranges between 45/35 oC and 70/50 oC
- The hot water heating coil (2-row): suitable for water ranges of 80/60 oC and 90/70 oC

Our structured approach to temperature control is extremely cost-effective and quick and easy to implement.
Water is distributed downwards through a cooling media upstream of the gas turbine inlet at a controlled rate. The inlet air passes through the media (specifically designed to minimise pressure loss) and the water is evaporated to a cold vapour, chilling the air that passes to the turbine and increasing power output as well as the operating efficiency.
